Dear Valued Customer,

I am writing to inform you that Sitestar has recently acquired your Internet account from Magnolia Internet Services. As a valued customer, we warmly welcome you to the Sitestar family and promise to do everything possible to make this transition as smooth and easy as possible.

Sitestar offers a broad range of Internet access, web hosting and value-added products and services to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada. We believe you’ll appreciate our outstanding service and our commitment to provide you with prompt, courteous and effective support.

The following lists some of the new changes:

You will still keep your same low Internet Service rates that you had from Magnolia and you will not have to sign any new contracts. Our billing office hours are from 7am-5pm Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Our technical support staff can take payments over the phone and can usually help answer most billing questions until 11pm. Your billing will now be handled by Sitestar and bills will soon be sent a couple weeks prior to your due date. For those who pay via credit card or bank draft, all new charges on your statement will now be shown as Sitestar and be drafted on your due date (usually the 1st of the month). Anyone wishing to change the draft date, please let us know so we can change your due date and prorate to this date. For those who pay via check, please remit your payments to the address at the bottom of this letter. You can make payments online through our Account Maintenance page at

You will NOT need to change your e-mail address. You will likely, however, need to make sure that you are using SMTP authentication for sending email (In your email settings this should say something like My Server Requires Authentication). More details on how to do this can be found on the Magnolia website ( If you are using webmail to check your mail, you will still be able to use that as well or you can use .

Sitestar provides advanced spam filtering that you will be able to configure based upon your needs. If you are not using the Postini spam filter currently, you will still be able to see a sharp reduction in the amount of unsolicited emails (spam) you probably have been getting. You can login to to adjust your spam filtering.

Magnolia Internet dial-up subscribers MUST change your computer to dial one of our new numbers. If you haven’t changed it yet, two of the new numbers are Magnolia – 626-4166 and El Dorado – 639-4141. Please note that you may incur phone charges depending on your location and local calling plan. If you are not sure which number is a local call, please check with your local telephone company to determine which access number to use to avoid such charges. If you can connect but can’t go anywhere, you might have the old Domain Name Server (DNS) settings hard-coded in your connection. Please see or give us a call if you are unfamiliar with making these changes or need another number.

Sitestar also offers web acceleration for dial-up users. This product installs on your PC and lets you surf the Internet at DSL-like speeds. If you are not using a web acceleration product already, ask us how to get a free trial. If you are using this product, you will need to add to the end of it.

For those that are using high speed DSL, you should have already reconfigured your settings and have seen a jump in speed lately. Sitestar offers DSL in most AT&T areas at download speeds of up to 1,500Kbps.

All web hosting accounts have been moved to a new server. We will need to re-set up username and passwords to allow uploading to these sites so let us know if you have a hosting account with us and cannot get access to it.

Our technical support hours are from 7am to 11pm Monday-Friday and typically 8am-9pm Saturday and Sunday.
